Tequila Clase Azul ULTRA is an Extra Añejo Tequila produced in the Arandas Region of Jalisco. Only 100 bottles will be produced and available (value $1800+) in Mexico and the U.S. markets. This limited production Tequila represents a collaboration of excellence in producing the 'Best of the Best' of Mexico: the best Tequila presented in a stunning, hand-crafted decanter. According to Mr. Arturo Lomeli, the Award winning Master Distiller of Clase Azul Reposado® and La Pinta Pomegranate Infused Tequila®, there are five elements that make Tequila ULTRA so exceptional:
1. Hand-selection of the highest quality Weber Blue Agaves that are aged to perfection for 9 years
2. Slow cooking of the Agave Piñas for approx. 48 hours in brick ovens
3. Fermentation with a special, proprietary yeast strain created specifically for ULTRA
4. A keen, watchful eye over each step in the distillation process; and a generous trimming of the 'heads and tails' of the distillate to ensure the highest quality Tequila
5. Using only the highest quality, hand-selected sherry wood casks to produce exceptional taste, perfect balance and robust body. The care taken in producing Clase Azul ULTRA reveals itself in a sublime tasting experience. Clase Azul ULTRA gives us exquisite complexity in its aromas, while tantalizing the palate with its robust body and rich flavors.

Tequila Clase Azul is an Ultra Premium, 100% Weber Blue Agave, Reposado Tequila. Clase Azul is the perfect marriage between the finest Tequila and a beautifully hand-crafted, hand-painted Talavera carafe. It is produced and bottled in the Jesus Maria region of Arandas, Jalisco, MX from 100 % Tequilana Weber Agave. Clase Azul is aged for a minimum of 8 months in small oak barrels. We are using a blend of Bourbon, Cognac and Sherry casks in the aging process. This aging time and the use of these different barrels differentiates Clase Azul and gives it an award winning taste profile. Seleccion Suprema, the first Extra Añejo Tequila in Mexico, has a complex, balanced taste of cooked agave, rich vanilla, toasted oak and dried fruits, and is aged for 4 years 1 month in new oak barrels (bottle costs over $300!)
